Sweet Valley apples are redefining Limpopo’s fruit landscape

Sweet Valley Apples

Employee Wellbeing

Approximately 99% of our workforce resides on the farm, ensuring consistent operations and a strong sense of community. When additional contract workers are needed, we source them from neighboring farms to maintain efficiency and familiarity. A small on-site shop provides essential goods, allowing workers convenient access to daily necessities.

We actively assess worker performance and invest in their growth by offering access to relevant training courses. We also encourage self-driven learning, believing that education fosters a stronger sense of self-worth and a more positive attitude toward work. This approach not only enhances individual potential but contributes to the overall upliftment of our workforce.

Our Local Healthcare sends a mobile clinic to the farm once a month where employees can get medicine and just routine check-ups from the nurses, if need be, in serious conditions they have to go to the hospital. The healthcare also have special programs they run to vaccinate children and see that they are healthy and looked after.

A local school bus service ensures that secondary and high school children are safely transported to and from school each day. For younger children, we offer an on-site crèche staffed by a qualified caregiver who provides early learning activities and ensures each child receives at least one nutritious meal daily. This allows parents to focus on their work, knowing their children are well cared for in a safe and nurturing environment.
